Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is inviting participants to register for the upcoming launch of a webinar series Advancing Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization through Farmer Field Schools (FFS) for Small-Scale Producers. The series begins this 30 July 2025 and runs through December 2025.

This global initiative, part of FAO’s Global Innovation Accelerator on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (SAM) aims to empower small-scale producers by integrating mechanization solutions into Farmer Field Schools – a proven method for participatory learning in agriculture.

Organized jointlyby FAO’s Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (SAM) team in the Plant Production and Protection Division (NSP) and the Global FFS Platform under the Office of Innovation (OIN), this webinar series aligns with the FAO’s Strategic Framework supporting Better Production, Better Life, and a Better Environment.

As such, this webinar series will explore how SAM can be integrated into the FFS approach by showcasing practical tools, innovative business models, and real-world experiences from countries that are already advancing this integration.
